This year Vigo Software celebrate 28 years of providing specialist software solutions to the haulage and warehouse industries. Vigo systems are a unique combination of Internet and in-house programs that plan and monitor the storage and delivery of goods ‘from cradle to grave’. This is achieved by the use of on-line job entry systems, import programs and powerful routines for integration with customers own order processing systems. These procedures give the additional benefit of ensuring accuracy of data. From on-line job entry by the customer and through map-based load planning, comprehensive journey data for each item is available at the touch of a button. In-cab communication equipment including hand-held signature capture devices minimise the use of paper and provide real-time track & trace information for each order. Vigo provide software solutions and technical support for quite a number of logistic / transport companies and also the Palletline, Palletforce, Pallet-Track and Partnerlink Hub and depot systems. However we are still a family owned business who develop in-house and our solutions and customer service comes highly recommended.

Vigo unleash new tracking solution.

Track Where Pallet Where?

The ultimate traffic desk solution with the ultimate track & trace option.

Vigo are delighted to introduce its new track and trace solution.

At the heart of Vigo’s haulage system is Loadbuilder, the main traffic planning system, which automates the process to optimise job allocation and incorporates a comprehensive vehicle management facility. Add to this the facility to see where your vehicle, trailer or even pallet is and the facility to make contact with your driver, all without moving from your PC - we think this is the ultimate tool.

Improve the level of customer service and ease the work load of your traffic desk

Where is my vehicle/load/pallet now?

How far away from the drop point?

The system can let the customers handler know when the vehicle is within an agreed distance from the delivery point.
This information can be sent to their mobile phone via a message.
The customer can use his own (mobile) phone to find out at anytime where the consignment is.
Time and attendance is recorded - which means less queries of PODs-
This should speed up the time it takes to settle invoices.

What drops has the driver done so far?

The system will identify the progression of jobs completed within the manifest and this information will be live.
If the trailer is being pulled by a 3rd party or a sub-contractor or on a ferry unaccompanied then the system can still track the load/pallet.

Where is my million pound pallet?

Track your high security pallet every inch of the way.

Improved vehicle utilisation

Where is the closest vehicle of the correct type to do the job?

Reduce actual travelled miles- Saving precious fuel.
Identify if there is a surplus of vehicles or do you have the right balance of vehicle type if not you could possibly reduce operating costs.
How many trailers do you have and where are they, are they being used as Warehousing.

Safety issues

What speed is your driver doing?

The system can give a warning to an office or mobile phone if speeding infringements are happening.

How many hours has he been driving?

If the vehicle has a serious problem or is being high jacked the driver can send a 999 to the traffic office.

Operating costs.

The system will highlight the routes taken and identify all stops, idling, speeding, parking, ignition on, couple and un couple with location all time and date stamped, this will identify if the route is cost effective, is the driver falsely claiming nights out allowance.

How many jobs did the driver do today ?

No need to use mobile phone calls to identify if the driver is near to a location, you can see all vehicles at their current location live on the screen. The system will allow 2 way messaging and multi broadcasting to a single driver, a group or all drivers.

No need to repeat orders

The system will let you know as soon as the driver has read the message, and where he was when he read it.
Reduce bogus claims made against the driver
“Your lorry hit my wing mirror yesterday”
If the driver takes his vehicle home at night
The system will identify when the vehicle left that location in the morning, an ideal solution for service vans.

A saving of just 2 miles a day by each vehicle fitted with the tracking system covers the cost of these additional features.

The above features are an upgrade/addition to our well proven Haulage solutions
